The Institute Research Lab is a co-working resource for talented, independent creatives, within Loughborough town centre, 10 minutes walk from Loughborough train station.
MULTI DISCIPLINARY
Graffio Arts have worked with two local creatives, Joe Cook and Aidan Matthews, to develop a creative co-working space within Loughborough. The Institute Research Lab is a cross generational, cross disciplinary, melting pot of creative media practice. The lab is providing opportunities for media skills, practice, research and development within the local area. WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
-
We are interested in collaborating with artists that are interested in work that is mediated with some form of technology. These may be from the field of New Media Art or beyond. There are artists, designers, programmers and others from across the arts spectrum, working at the lab. The use of media is a common thread that encourages collaboration across these disciplines. Although as an artist, you are likely to be focused on developing your practice, we encourage those that are interested, to offer knowledge, alternative points of view or technology expertise to live projects. In turn, those with a design or commercial focus may be able to help you develop and communicate your practice in new ways.
